Kini sedang tular di media sosial mengenai perlantikkan Shahul Hameed

Sering kita lihat pelbagai gerak kerja oleh MIC bagi membantu komuniti India di negara ini, terbaru mereka telah membawa pulang ratusan rakyat Malaysia yang terkandas di India akibat Covid-19. Tetapi semua kerja baik mereka untuk memenangi hati kaum India kini terhancur dalam sekelip mata akibat daripada perlantikkan CEO MyEvents Shahul Hameed Dawood ke jawatan CEO HRDF dibawah Kementerian Sumber Manusia.

Syarikat MyEvents milik Shahul Hameed dikenali sebagai salah satu syarikat yang menganjurkan ceramah/kuliah Zakir Naik yang telah beberapa kali menyinggung perasaan penganut Hindu di negara ini. Jika MIC merupakan pembela kaum India di negara ini, mengapa perlu kamu melantik Shahul Hameed ke jawatan penting sebegitu?

Tiada calon lain selain Shahul Hameed?

Jika MIC menghormati perasaan dan sentimen kaum India sudah tentu mereka tidak akan berbuat demikian, kan? Apakah MIC tidak ada calon lain yang lebih layak atau berpendidikan untuk menjawat jawatan tersebut?

Ingat, zaman “kegemilangan” MIC telahpun runtuh sejak PRU12 pada tahun 2008 dan isu perlantikkan ini akan mengurangkan lagi sokongan kaum India kepada MIC pada masa akan datang. Pengundi India kini lebih bijak, tidak lagi berdemonstrasi di atas jalanraya tapi mereka menunjukkan “protes” mereka diatas kertas undi.

Saya hanya “small fly” di mata mereka tapi ingatlah, “small fly” sebegini lah yang memulakan HINDRAF dan mengalahkan Presiden kamu di Sungai Siput suatu ketika dahulu.
