Kita pasti sering mendengar jenayah ragut bukan? Kerana ia sering dilaporkan di media boleh dikatakan setiap hari. Tetapi tahukah anda ada jenayah yang lebih membahayakan berbanding ragut iaitu jenayah siber.

Jenayah siber jauh lebih berbahaya berbanding ragut kerana kerugiannya berlipat kali ganda dan ia berlaku kepada kita tanpa kita sedari.

Menurut data JSJK Bukit Aman, pada tahun 2019 lalu lebih RM400 juta dilaporkan lesap akibat jenayah siber. Setiap hari akan ada sekitar 20 ke 30 laporan polis yang dibuat berkaitan jenayah ini di seluruh Malaysia. Cuba anda fikirkan adakah angka jenayah ragut mampu mencecah nilai RM400 juta? Sudah pasti tidak.

Cara bagaimana jenayah siber ini berjalan antaranya dengan cara penipuan telekomunikasi. Anda mungkin akan dihubungi oleh seseorang yang menyamar sebagai pegawai polis atau dari mahkamah yang menyatakan anda mempunyai kes jenayah lampau. Untuk menyelesaikan kes ini anda perlu membuat transaksi pembayaran ke suatu nombor akaun yang diberikan. Yang mana sebenarnya kes jenayah lampau itu tidak wujud sebaliknya mereka hanya mahukan wang anda sahaja.

Jika anda pernah mendengar scammer seperti Macau Scam, mereka ini antara yang mendominasi jenayah siber di waktu ini dan antara taktik mereka memperdayakan kita adalah melalui penipuan telekomunikasi di atas.

Selain itu, Macau Scam juga pernah menggunakan taktik menghantar pautan (link) ke telefon bimbit dan setelah kita klik, mereka menyalin password yang biasanya kita telah simpan di dalam “cache” telefon (biasanya disimpan di dalam Google Chrome atau sewaktu dengannya). Cara mereka untuk menarik minat kita untuk klik link tersebut adalah dengan ayat berupa menang cabutan bertuah, baucar membeli belah, dan sebagainya.

Di musim Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) sekarang ini kita harus sentiasa berhati-hati. Ada pihak yang sedang menunggu umpannya dimakan kerana tahu kita sedang ternanti-nanti wang dari kerajaan seperti BPN yang memerlukan kita mengisi di atas talian sahaja.

Oleh yang demikian, setiap link yang kita dapat pastikan ia dari alamat yang sah dan diperakui. Jangan mudah untuk menyerahkan nombor akaun bank dan password kepada pihak yang menyamar dari jabatan kerajaan yang mahu menyalurkan bantuan.
